Get To Know Me

My name is Nicolette De Marco, and I’ve been doing hair in the Phoenix area for nearly a decade! I opened Painted Jade Parlour in 2018 and began specializing in advanced color theory.  Although my journey in hair began with creativity and a knack for customer service, it has led me to a passion for all things female empowerment. I am a strong advocate for women, a participant in sustainable industry practices, and a deep believer in the impact of one on one connection in the chair. When I'm not in the salon, you can find me reading self development books, snuggling with my poodle, cooking, or on an adventure in Central Phoenix, where I live and work. My goal as a human and a service provider is for you to sit in my chair and feel seen, heard, and of course transformed! 

Over the course of my career, I have seen first-hand the value of using naturally derived ingredients, especially in harsh climates like Phoenix. I’ve also had the opportunity to work with a variety of green based brands and have come to believe that--in an industry that has the potential to be so detrimental to our environment --it is our responsibility to choose mindful and sustainable products. That is why I work exclusively with lines that are organic based, cruelty free, vegan, and ethically sourced. Some of those lines include Davines, Oligo, and AIIR. My personal hair philosophy has always been to provide my guests with an experience and a result that is truly tailored to their lifestyle and needs. I believe hair should be entirely reflective of your lifestyle and personality, which is why I work one on one with guests, never double booking, in order to give each project my full attention. I specialize in custom color solutions, balayage, and lived in color, and I am a perpetual student, always eager to bring you the latest and greatest techniques!
